"Faith Fights Back: How to Conquer the World's Challenges with Aggressive Bulldog Faith"
Updated: May 3, 2023
First John 5:4-5 declares the aggressive nature of faith: "For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?"
Faith is forward-directed and aggressive. It always reaches forward towards its goal and boldly takes what rightfully belongs to it. Hebrews 10:38-39 warns that if anyone draws back, God will have no pleasure in them, but those who believe to the saving of the soul will not draw back.
Aggressive faith is never passive. It never takes "no" for an answer. It never backs down, quits, or gives up. The devil excels in lying, so we have to excel in the Word of God to keep things straight.
Like a bulldog, aggressive faith is stubbornly persistent and determined. Bulldogs are a breed of remarkable fortitude, courage, and tenacity of grip. Their jaws protrude, and their noses are intended to bite down on something and keep breathing until that thing is completely theirs.
In the same way, we bite down on the Word of God and refuse to let it go. Bulldog faith says, "God's word is mine now, and you can't take it from me. Be assured, when this fight is over, I win."
So let us cultivate an aggressive faith that overcomes the world, that boldly takes what is rightfully ours, and refuses to let go until victory is achieved.
In Mark 11:22-24, Jesus urged his followers to have faith in God and believe that anything is possible. He used the example of moving a mountain, emphasizing the need to have unwavering faith and believe that what you pray for has ALREADY come to pass.
Similarly, in Matthew 11:12 and Galatians 6:9, the message is to persevere and not give up in the face of obstacles. It's important to hold onto your faith and remain steadfast in your pursuit of what you desire. These verses encourage a determined and persistent attitude towards achieving your goals, trusting in God's promises to see you through.
Here are some faith confessions you can use:
I have unwavering faith in God and believe that all things are possible.
I trust in God's promises and know that He will guide me towards my purpose.
I am filled with the Holy Spirit and walk in divine favor and blessings.
I refuse to be discouraged by any obstacle or challenge that comes my way.
I speak life and positivity over every situation, knowing that God's power is at work within me.
I am confident in my abilities and know that I can achieve great things with God's help.
I trust in God's timing and know that His plans for me are greater than I can imagine.
I am thankful for all the blessings in my life and believe that more blessings are on the way.
I declare victory over every struggle and believe that God is fighting my battles for me.
I am fearless and bold in my faith, knowing that God's love for me is unfailing and His grace is sufficient for me.
Here are three faith confessions for healing based on scripture:
"By His stripes, I am healed" (Isaiah 53:5). I declare that I am healed, whole, and restored to complete health in Jesus' name. I believe that the stripes He bore on the cross are enough to heal me from any illness or disease.
"The prayer of faith shall save the sick" (James 5:15). I declare that I have the faith to receive my healing. I trust that when I pray for healing, God hears my prayers and will bring about a complete restoration of my health.
"He sent His word and healed them" (Psalm 107:20). I declare that I receive the healing power of God's word. I believe that His word has the power to bring about complete healing and restoration in my body. I declare that every part of my body responds to the healing power of His word, and I am made whole.
Here are three faith confessions for great wealth based on scripture:
"The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it" (Proverbs 10:22). I declare that I am blessed by the Lord, and that His blessings include financial prosperity. I receive the wealth that God has for me, knowing that it comes without any sorrow or negative consequences.
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). I declare that I seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness. As I do so, I trust that He will provide for all my needs, including financial prosperity and abundance.
"The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow" (Deuteronomy 28:12). I declare that I receive God's blessings of prosperity and abundance. I trust that He will open up the heavens and pour out blessings upon me, and that my work will be blessed. I believe that I will lend to others and not borrow, as God's blessings overflow in my life.
