Spiritual Sword is Your Praise and Worship!

Here is a powerful illustration in the power of praise and the miraculous intervention of God in response to the sincere worship and trust in Him. 2 Chronicles 20 declares:

"After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: 'Give thanks to the Lord, for his love endures forever.' As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. The Ammonites and Moabites rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another. When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped."

"Praise and worship served as the catalyst that moved the hand of God to fight on their behalf, causing even the enemy to turn against itself. The message resounding loud and clear: PRAISE HIM. God awaits to step into your battlefield, ready to intervene and bring victory as you lift your praises."

Let's break this story down just a little:

King Jehoshaphat learns that a vast army is approaching Judah, threatening invasion. Faced with this imminent danger, Jehoshaphat is fearful but turns to God for guidance. He declares a fast and gathers the people of Judah to seek God's help through prayer.

Empty plate and glass of water on a table signifying a fast.

"Before the miracles, before the breakthroughs, there is fasting—a sacred pathway to experiencing God's extraordinary power."
Ezra 8:23 (NIV): "So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer."

In response to their sincere prayer, God sends a message through a prophet, assuring them that they need not fear the approaching army. The Lord promises to fight on behalf of Judah. Encouraged by this divine assurance, Jehoshaphat and the people praise God.

"God's messages conveyed through prophets, are the sweet melody that soothes the anxious hearts of the faithful."
Amos 3:7 (NIV): "Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets."

On the day of the battle, Jehoshaphat appoints singers to lead the army, praising God for His steadfast love. As they begin to sing and praise, God miraculously intervenes. Confusion arises among the invading armies, and they end up turning against each other, resulting in their defeat.

"As the singers led the way, problems bowed before the power of praise, and the armies of adversity crumbled in confusion. In the midst of the battle, turn your praise into a weapon, and watch as God confuses the plans of your adversaries."
Psalm 100:4 (NIV): "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name."
Psalm 50:23 (NIV): "Those who sacrifice thanks offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation."

People Worshiping and Praising together announcing Victory in their lives.

In the echoes of triumph, we find a profound revelation — victory, not through the might of human effort, but by the divine hand of God. It beckons us to question: Are our battles left unturned because we've missed the power of praise? Perhaps the answer we've sought lies not in endless discussions of our problems but in the ceaseless praise of our Almighty. As Jehoshaphat experienced, victory follows when we stop complaining and start praising. May the tranquil conclusion of this chapter be an invitation to exchange our worries for worship, our murmurs for melodies, and discover the unparalleled peace and prosperity that unfold in the landscape of unwavering trust in God and applying His Word to our lives.

It's so simple.

Why do You NOT Believe?

Are You SO conditioned that achieving Success must be hard?

Can God be any CLEARER that He wants to battle Your problems?

Praise goes before the strength of mighty men straight to Victory, Yes?

Praise is Your Weapon!

Open Your Mouth and see your enemies destroy each other.

Do you Believe?
